Hawaii’s first vineyard, Tedeschi Winery is steeped in history. Once a retreat for Hawaii’s last reigning king, the land, known as Rose Ranch Estate, was selected by developer Pardee Erdman and Emil Tedeschi, a winemaker from mainland California, as an ideal place for a winery.

Sitting 1800 feet above sea level, this lush mountainside climate is home to over 23 acres of vineyards, and an exclusive selection of Maui-grown wines. Visitors are welcome to tour the vineyard, learn about the land, and taste unique wines bursting with native tropical flavors like pineapple, passion fruit, mango, green pear, and lime.

The daily tour takes visitors through rich fields of sugarcane, and a solar-powered warehouse and bottling center, while educating on topics like sustainable farming, ecological responsibility, and distilling spirits. • End the day at the North Shore beach Maui’s North Shore beach is one of most accessible spots on the island to watch the sunset, have a picnic, or simply relax. Generally, the tide of the ocean is calmer here than at other Maui beaches, making the North Shore an ideal place to wade, swim, sunbathe, or simply sit and watch the Honu, the giant Hawaiian sea turtles, as they crawl out of the ocean to lay in the sand.
